Zeyda started practicing yoga in 2003 when still living in Istanbul. In her first class she was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga, she experienced it as her body surfing through her breath which she found immediately magical. Since that day, practicing yoga has always been a part of her life.
Bitter or sweet, slow or fast, planned or unexpected, going thru different chapters in life, practicing yoga has been a very good companion, to help to ground and to come back to the center. In a physically tough period in her life she has discovered Yin Yoga. It was love at first practice again: the go getter ashtangi finally found her surrender in yin.
“Practicing yoga reminds me to accept- all that is- as it is, at that moment and connect back to myself. There are days on the mat that my body goes in a perfect flow and there are days that all is stiff and moving slow. There are days that life is in a flow and there are days that life is stalling. No good or bad, life happening as it is.. Just remember to find your breath and enjoy the ride!”
Zeyda has followed teacher trainings on Ashtanga Yoga and Yin Yoga and started teaching in 2017. She has attended various trainings/workshops on breath and pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, ayurveda, body and energy work and self compassion coaching.
Zeyda’s yoga classes are easy going gentle flows with focus on restoration, body awareness, breath and relaxation. No previous experience of yoga is required and classes are open to all levels.
